A simple, savory rice pilaf that's light, fluffy, and full of flavor . It's the perfect base or side dish and works as a swap for white rice in stir-fries, bowls, and weeknight meals.
Serves 4-6

Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 Tablespoon butter
2 cups Jasmine rice
2½ cups water
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan or caldero, melt the butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the rice and stir often for about 10 minutes, or until the rice is toasted to a golden color.
2. Add the water, chicken bouillon, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and stir. Turn the heat to high, and bring to a boil.
3. Let the rice cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until most of the water has been absorbed.
4. Reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for about 30 minutes. Do not open the lid or stir during this time.
5. Remove from the heat, fluff with a fork, and serve as desired.
