Serves 6

Ingredients:
Spiced Apples:
5-6 gala apples (peeled, cored and diced)
2 Tablespoons white sugar
¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1½ teaspoons lemon juice
Crisp Topping:
1 cup brown sugar
¾ cup old fashioned rolled oats
¾ cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup cold butter, cut into cubes
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8 baking dish, ; set aside.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine apples, sugar, 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well, then pour into the baking dish.
3. In another mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, oats, flour, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, salt, and butter. Use a pastry cutter or fork to mix until the mixture is crumbly, with the butter resembling pea-sized pieces.
4. Distribute the topping over the apples and lightly press to level it. Bake for 40-50 minutes, until it becomes golden brown and bubbly. Enjoy!
